Ali has a strong theatrical background having previously worked as a performer, theatre-maker and director.
Ali has taken photographs for The Royal Court, Complicité, Almeida Theatre, Bush Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, The Orange Tree, Arcola Theatre, Pleasance Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Watford Palace Theatre, Opera Holland Park, The Kiln, National Youth Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, The New Diorama, The Vaults, The Park Theatre, Polka Theatre and a huge range of fringe theatres. Ali also has experience shooting shows in non theatrical spaces.
Alongside her work as a production photographer, Ali also creates original photographic artwork for marketing campaigns for theatre shows and photographs at events for arts institutions.
Her images have been published in The Guardian, The Times, The Stage, National Geographic, The Sun, The Financial Times, Time Out, The Metro, The Evening Standard, Lonely Planet and Vogue Italia's PhotoVogue.
